The Brewster Whitecaps improved to 3-2 as they defeated the Hyannis Harbor Hawks (3-2) 7-4 Monday night in a make-up game. It was the night of the Bama Boys, as Wade Wass, Mikey White, Kyle Overstreet, and Georgie Salem contributed six of the seven Brewster RBIs. Wass started the night off with a 2RBI single for a 2-0 lead in the third, contributing another RBI in the seventh. Justin Montemayor (Houston) lead his Brewster Whitecaps with three hits and scored a run himself off a Wass sac fly to center. Hyannis staged a comeback attempt in late innings, scoring two runs apiece in the bottom of the eighth and ninth, but couldn’t generate enough to take the game. Garrett Mundell (Fresno St) earned the win with 4H, 0R, and 6Ks in 7.0 innings of work for the Caps.
