7 All-Men’s CWS Team Players have ties to the CCBL

The 11-man all-Men’s College World Series team was selected by the media yesterday following the Vanderbilt Commodores’ first national title in the sport. It was also their first men’s national title in school history, and only the second one for the school.

The all-Men’s CWS team included a number of Cape League players, both from past seasons, and rostered to join their teams here on the Cape shortly now with the series over.

A combined 26 players in the final series between Virginia and Vanderbilt had some CCBL affiliation, with 14 slated to come play this summer.

Congratulations to all who played in this year’s CWS, and to the Vanderbilt Commodores for becoming National Champions!
