So, now what?

About a week ago, the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox claimed victory of the Cape Cod Baseball League in an 8-1 win over the Hyannis Harbor Hawks. Now, the summer is virtually over. The boys of summer are back at their perspective schools and as for the rest of us? Well, we have to return to our soIMG_4559 called “lives.”

It was a memorable summer, to say the least. There was the usual broken bats, foul balls, doughnut burgers and rain delays. But there was also a brand new coach, a no-hitter thrown, a pitching duel of an all-star game, a GM retirement, epic playoff baseball, and countless hours of hard work and dedication.

For those returning next summer, consider yourself lucky because nothing is comparable to a summer full of baseball on the Cape. For all those involved with the Cape Cod Baseball League, a sincere thank you for all that you do throughout the summer and for letting me be a part of it all. Unfortunately, there is only one summer a year and only one Cape League season a summer, so if you need your CCBL fix follow us on twitter @Official_CCBL or like us on Facebook.

There are only about 300 days till 2016 opening day…but who’s counting?
